K out of nowhere appeared and marked the final attack to take the win for ZGDX. After a game on the song, a fierce final showdown between the team begins. ZGDX was seconds away from losing but Smiling managed to resurrect and did numerous kills and headed to YQCB’s crystal. Although key members of YQCB also resurrected they couldn’t keep up with Smiling. Thus soon leading ZGDX to win. This sees Cheng and Smiling almost kiss while Ai Jia also reunited with Chen Jinyang. During his bouts, he wears a blue rash guard emblazoned with the Nishihonji Security Services logo accented with yellow and black shorts. This is with the exception of his fight against Akoya Seishu where he forwent his rash guard in favour of only blue shorts and ankle supports. Two years later, Cosmo had grown out his blonde hair, setting it into a ponytail in the back with three thick bangs framing his face, reminiscent of the hairstyle of his master, Kureishi Mitsuyo. His rashguard is now predominantly black as well. His casual clothing varies with t-shirts and trousers, though he is never seen without a necklace with a ring looped inside it. Personality Cosmo has a very happy-go-lucky personality, and is almost always cheerful and smiling. He was called a social butterfly while in school for having friends across different cliques.[7] He is easy to get along with and makes friends with several of the other fighters, even ones he has just fought. He is a quick learner, being flexible and adaptable. Cosmo tends to take risks during the fighting, and combined with the fact that his fighting style revolves around submission holds rather than blows, he often ends up coming out of his fights more badly injured than his opponent, even when he wins. While he claims to enjoy fighting for fighting's own sake and does seem to enjoy the thrill of the fight; it is not until he is nearly killed by Akoya Seishu that he realizes that this is not a love of fighting, but a strong desire to win. He also seems to get with Wakatsuki Takeshi, but is more like a teacher-student relationship and Cosmo usually refers to him as his "senpai". History As a child, Cosmo was getting into fights on the streets day in and day out, until he met Kureishi Mitsuyo, a mixed martial artist who offered to teach him martial arts.[8] Cosmo proved to be a natural at it, so much so that when one of Kureishi's other students, a young businessman named Nishihonji Akira, came to recruit Kureishi to fight for his business, Kureishi instead referred him to Cosmo. At the tender age of 14, Cosmo became the youngest person to ever debut in the Kengan matches, taking down a giant man 20cm taller and 30kg heavier into submission.[1] He attended high school during most of his tenure as a fighter, and struggled to keep his brother and school friends from knowing about his rather unusual part-time job.[7] At the age of 17, Nishihonji brought him to fight Anderson Arona, a public MMA fighter. Despite Arona's impressive win streak in Cage Fight, Cosmo ended up easily defeating him and causing Arona to retire from fighting altogether.[7] Plot Kengan Ashura Cosmo was first seen watching Tokita Ohma's fight against Sekibayashi Jun alongside Wakatsuki. He watched Ohma attain victory after initially being on the ropes. He represented Nishihonji Security Services in the Kengan Annihilation Tournament. As the first fight of the tournament, Cosmo fought against Adam Dudley in the first round, achieving victory but taking heavy damage in return. In the second round, Cosmo fought against Akoya Seishu. Despite an extremely brutal fight that nearly caused Cosmo to lose his life, he attained victory and passage to the quarter-finals. After the fight, in a terrible condition and needing to be carried, Cosmo tried to shake hands with Akoya but the latter merely walked off in a huff. The first two rounds had left him with significant injuries, forcing Cosmo into a wheelchair for a day. During this time, Hayami Katsumasa enacted his coup d'état with his Guardians swarming the Kengan Dome. Cosmo, Adam, Kaneda and Gaolang encountered Long Min's group and the four began fighting him. With Long's impressive skills with his dao keeping them on the defensive, Cosmo got out of his wheelchair and began fighting Long using his newfound Foresight ability. However, just as he was getting somewhere with it, Long suddenly left. With the coup suppressed, Nishihonji informed Cosmo of his decision to hire Okubo Naoya as his substitute to fight Tokita Ohma in the quarter-finals. Unable to accept this, Cosmo challenged Okubo to defend his position, then placed Okubo in a hold almost immediately with his newfound Foresight ability. Having successfully defended his position as Nishihonji Security Services' fighter, and betraying the expectations of all those in attendance, Cosmo entered the arena to face Ohma. Initially, thanks to his new-found Foresight ability, Cosmo completely dominated Ohma and drained most of his stamina. With Ohma somehow finding a second wind, he continued using the Niko Style but Cosmo continued to counter the techniques he'd seen before until Ohma used new techniques to turn the tables of the fight. While Cosmo was almost knocked out by Ohma's Water Dragon's Vein technique, Cosmo temporarily nullified Ohma's advantage breaking Ohma's little finger to escape the hold. However, Cosmo was defeated after Ohma used Water Mirror on him, strangling Cosmo with his own arm. Having won the match, Ohma thanked Cosmo for the good fight and told him that he would get stronger in the future. He was later seen watching the final matches of the tournament along with the fighters who had lost. Sometime after the tournament ended, Cosmo went to visit Ohma's resting place along with Okubo and Himuro. Kengan Omega Fighting for Nishihonji Security Services in a Kengan match against Johnny Waters, a matured Cosmo ended up defeating his opponent in two strikes. Musing that he couldn't end it in a single blow, after all, Cosmo then happily greeted Kazuo afterward. Sometime later, Cosmo met Narushima Koga again on an ice rink after the latter had finished 'training' with Adam Dudley. He then went back to skating with Kureishi Mitsuyo. At Kureishi's Dojo, Cosmo explained to a surprised Koga about Adam's unique physical abilities. After Adam had finished sparring with Kureishi, Cosmo watched as Koga showcased his new-found looseness by shadow-boxing. After Koga's first day of training with Kureishi, the three fighters went to watch Gaoh Ryuki's Kengan match. There, Cosmo and Adam were left overwhelmed by how easily Ryuki seemed to take down Yurikawa Taiju, a New Generation fighter. Next, they were alerted to the horrifying presence of new fighter Yuzaki Mumon who was taking on Nitoku in the second Kengan match of the night. He then watched Nitoku storm to victory before witnessing Toyoda Idemitsu make an overt entrance. Over the next few weeks, Cosmo was seen training alongside Adam and Koga at Kureishi's gym. On the day of Koga's fighter elimination exam, Cosmo watched with everyone else as Koga took on Murasame Shuya and eventually attained victory. With Koga's win, he, Adam and Koga went to watch Ryuki's match against Akoya Seishu after mentioning that Akoya was bad news. Arriving just in time, they watched in horror as Akoya brutally battered Ryuki before the fight was forcibly stopped by the intervention of Katahara Metsudo's Bodyguards. He helped Koga's training for a three month period, with there only being a month until the inevitable tournament. Days after, he received a phone call informing him that Tokita Ohma was alive. He went ahead and celebrated with other fighters who also got the news. Along with Mokichi Robinson, Adam, Kure Karla and Elena Robinson he watched Gaoh Ryuki's match against Naidan Mönkhbat in the Kengan Association vs Purgatory Tournament. Power & Abilities Considered a fighting prodigy, Cosmo is a practioner of Brazilian jiu-jitsu[9] with a high level of agility due to his rather small and lightweight build. Despite his size, he is shown to hit rather hard, as Adam Dudley noted while fighting him. Cosmo's physical and mental endurance is demonstrated when he tanked multiple punches from Adam, who is capable of knocking people out cold with little motion, and continue fighting efficiently.[8][10] In the battle with Akoya Seishu, despite being bitten and tortured by Akoya, which broke his ribs and nearly his will to fight, Cosmo continued to fight and he defeated Akoya after an adrenaline rush boosted his strength and speed.[6] Furthermore, after the battles with Adam and Akoya, which left Cosmo heavily injured, Cosmo could still move fast enough that Tokita Ohma could not hit him more so due to the fact that Cosmo was predicting his movements via the use of his new-found Foresight ability.[11] During the two months between the announcement of the Kengan Annihilation Tournament and the tournament's start, Cosmo sparred against heavyweight martial artists three times daily; as a result, he is well-versed when fighting larger opponents.[8] True to his status as a fighting prodigy, Cosmo is able to learn and implement new fighting techniques and applications quickly after learning how to utilize his quick reflexes more efficiently after defeating Akoya and then awakening the ability of Foresight during the battle against Hayami's Guardians,[12] Cosmo was able to combine and implement these newly learned abilities in his fight with Ohma, enabling him to dominate Ohma in the early stages of their match.[11] Two years after the Kengan Annihilation Tournament, Kazuo noted that Cosmo's striking capabilities have improved drastically, being able to win a Kengan match with only a few blows.[13] Zone Zone ゾーン, Zōn is Cosmo's key technique unique to himself. It involves discerning the second interval when the opponent is completely focused on their attack.[10] Once the timing is discerned, Cosmo then proceeds to move into the opponent's blind spot and put them into a hold. This technique makes the opponent think that Cosmo has disappeared into thin air until he puts them into a hold.[1][10] Foresight Gainging Foresight 先 さき 読 よ み, Sakiyomi after his match against Akoya Seishu, Cosmo began to develop the ability to predict his opponents' moves in a way similar to Kaneda Suekichi. However, Cosmo can only predict 1-2 moves ahead in comparison to Kaneda being able to predict up to 7 moves ahead.[14] By combining this move prediction with his incredible reflexes and Zone, Cosmo is able to counter any moves that he has already seen before.[14][15] However his Foresight is not an ability that can be used in any situation when predicting a new move or combination, Cosmo's reflexes are drastically slowed.[15] It has been predicted that if he combines his Foresight with his Zone, he would become a nearly-unbeatable fighter in time, though at present his ability is far too underdeveloped. But it’s true that some of the most unexpected things are the most precious. As a sucker for Cdrama rom-coms,I can confidently and lovingly say this about Falling Into My Smile. It has stolen the hearts of many many people, including me. I can’t exactly find any words to describe this drama; It’s perfectly cute, funny, and inspirational, tackling both problems that normal people like us face daily and problems that idols encounter during their career. haven’t been many E-sports Cdramas, but most of them that aired were very much enjoyable to me. Falling Into Your Smile doesn’t have the most unique storyline, but I was pleasantly surprised to be presented a drama with minimal plot holesn and boringness, and that kept its strong foundation from beginning to end. The gaming scenes were also very cool, but were also quite skippable. Fans were brought into’ the computer, and we watched the fights take place. Adapted from the web novel You’re Beautiful When You Smile’ by Qing Mei, Falling Into Your Smile delves into the world of E-sports, a professional online gaming sport that started to show prominence around the world, especially China. Just like the drama, the novel is full of sweet moments, and although some bits here and there have been tweaked, the drama is a pie served to us with just the right ingredients and the right amount, with no piece I’ve watched more dramas, something that always stands out is how much inspiration this drama has given me; The motivation to help someone or do something for myself and the world, the inspiration that emanates from a certain character or the story itself. Falling Into Your Smile is perhaps the cutest and loveliest drama I have seen to date. girl who has seen 90 Cdramas speaking here! While other Cdrama rom-coms focus heavily on the love story between the main couple, Lu Sicheng ML and Tong Yao FL’s love story is also perfectly balanced with the strong bromance. This powerful friendship between the members of ZGDX not only provides smiles and laughs, but also shows us all the sides to a friendship, from trust, teamwork, and other E-sports dramas, though, Falling Into Your Smile explores a more sensitive and harmful side of idol fans. The characters had to overcome major criticism on social media that threatened their well-being, confidence, and careers. Although this is no new problem for us veteran drama-watchers, tension was everywhere during these scenes as we rooted for our favorite Xu Kai does it again. Amazing acting? You bet! Not to mention those smiles and teasing... This talented actor portrays Lu Sicheng, a supposedly cold male lead, so well. Unlike other Cdrama cold male leads, though, Lu Sicheng gives off quite warm and especially caring vibes, attributes that make us a lovable male lead. Xu Kai certainly proved to us that he can slay any role, from those perky male leads in historicals to a cold but very caring modern male lead. As Falling Into Your Smile was his first modern drama besides the Republican drama Arsenal Military Academy, he certainly has started on an amazing note. I do not usually follow the lives of Kpop or Cpop celebrities, so I had minimal knowledge about Cheng Xiao when I started this drama. But, like her lovely singing, her acting was very natural and extremely cute! But even though Tong Yao is cute and sunshiney, she is not at all a damsel in distress. Her expressions and actions are direct. Cheng Xiao executed Tong Yao to her best, and although her acting wasn’t the most breathtaking, she took a major step in her acting career when she chose to portray Tong Yao. When the scene becomes intense, so does her expression. Tong Yao’s stern and persistent expressions can also shut someone up, while her bubbly but intelligent side makes you want to pull her to your side. I will definitely follow up on her future dramas because she certainly deserves more praise and attention from drama-watchers, not just Kpop and Cpop chemistry is bloomingly strong and fiery. Xu Kai and Cheng Xiao couldn’t have done better showing us Lu Sicheng and Tong Yao’s cute and loving times the supporting characters, Falling Into Your Smile would not have had that exploding spark. The pie is served to us on a golden platter A cute main couple, another cute second couple, powerful bromance from all teams, really, caring friendship between Tong Yao and her gui mi’ best friend Jin Yang, and familial love as well. Did I really just list almost all the most important relationships in our lives? This drama is so well rounded when it comes to these allow me to take some more time to gush about Lu Sicheng’s teammates and best friends. They. Are. The. Best! Rather than providing awkwardness when it comes to our leading couple, they were necessary for their relationship to progress. Don’t even get me started with Lu Yue or Pang Zi. These boys are a necessity, not just some supporting characters you can throw into the mix, and they were expressed so well. We followed them on their journeys of growing up, realizing that success is never without failure. Oh, the lessons we learn from dramas that seem so simple!OST-11FIYS’s OST deserves a solid 11. I never expected to fall in love with this soundtrack this much, but I have. Don’t be surprised when you look into my listening history and find all of the songs played over and over again. Or if my non-drama-watching friends complain about me forcing them to listen to these songs and them also falling in love with them. I think I’ll never be tired of them. With heartfelt emotion and meaningful lyrics, this rom-com’s songs are the toppings of this magnificent pie. Rewatch those sweet scenes? A definite yes! As someone who rarely rewatches dramas, so many scenes in FIYS tempt me. hours and days gushing and blushing over this drama wasn’t for nothing. This pie is wonderful, amazing, magnificent. Perhaps Falling Into Your Smile will be my favorite Cdrama rom-com of 2021, and we’re only a little over halfway through the year. The drama was cute when necessary, hilarious in other parts, and most importantly, inspirational.
